He previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Adao Global. His tenure at Nike, Inc. as Director of Finance saw him manage all financial aspects for a division exceeding $200 million , strategically partnering with executive management and investor relations to support quarterly earnings and critical corporate initiatives. Before his time at Nike, he played a pivotal role as Chief Financial Officer of Adao, LLP, where he developed financial plans critical for securing private investment and orchestrated comprehensive annual budgets.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Abernathy honed his financial acumen as Controller for Seiko Instruments USA, Inc., overseeing consolidated financial statements and internal controls for operations averaging $200 million in annual sales. He began his professional journey in public accounting as a Staff Accountant and Audit Manager at Ernst and Young / Bull and Associates, preparing full-scope financial audits across multiple sectors. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
